Ha van karácsonyi reklámajándék akkor adventi szóróajándék miért nincsen? Alapvetően logikus és jogos a kérdés, ám a megoldás sokkal egyszerűbb, mint ahogy az, első ránézésre tűnik. Az advent tulajdonképpen nem egyetlen ünnep, hanem egy komplett időszak, periódus, ami a várakozásról, a testi-lelki ráhangolódásról és felkészülésről szól. Az adventet megélni nem ajándékokkal, hanem szívvel lehet, és ha valakinek ez nem megy, akkor nincs az a tárgyi meglepetés, ami segíthetne rajta.
A karácsony ezzel szemben maga a csúcspont, az advent kiteljesedése, az az ünnep, amit mindenki vár, amire a legtöbben ténylegesen készülnek, s nemcsak a boltokban a pénztáraknál állva. Vagyis adventi ajándékozás, mint olyan nem létezik, s értelmetlen is lenne. Persze ettől függetlenül a karácsonyi reklámajándékok átadása általában az advent időszakának végére esik, mert a meghitt családi ünnep közegét már nem bontja meg senki szívesen, vállalati figyelmességek kedvéért sem.
Vagyis az évzáró bulik és karácsonyi vacsorák az esetek jelentős hányadában az adventben kerülnek megrendezésre, így aztán a speciális, nagy odafigyeléssel ki és megválasztott szóróanyagok is ekkor kezdhetik el beteljesíteni küldetésüket. Persze úgy is határozhat, hogy komoly hangsúlyt kíván fektetni az előkészületek fontosságának hirdetésére, így aztán az advent beköszönte után is célhoz juttathatja figyelmességeit, ezzel rávilágítva arra a tényre, hogy elérkezett az idő a felkészülésre.
